NASA selected Boeing and SpaceX in September 2014 to transport crew to the International Space Station from the United States.
Today Boeing Starliner pad test was about the safety of astronauts. The test means, the capsule must be quick enough to carry humans safety, starting from a standstill. “The test was designed to verify that each of Starliner’s systems will function not only separately, but in concert, to protect astronauts by carrying them safely away from the launch pad in the unlikely event of an emergency prior to liftoff,” says Anna Heiney
Mike Fink, one of Starliner Crew Flight test Astronauts said: “Boeing is committed to safety and we look forward to flying in safe space.”
