Cybersecurity company Avast got malware attacks into CCleaner software again. Previously, there have been CCleaner Software attack reportedly back in 2017. They said they detected this intrusion back in late September 2019. The attack was done by the VPN profile and they said that they intentionally left that profile active to track their undesirable activity for straight two weeks. They had to change their digital signature for CCleaner updates and also reset all employee credentials. Having taken all precaution they ensure all users that they are safe and unaffected as reported by Avast Chief Information Security Officer.
